Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great 2013 and that 2014 will be even better for all of you! Since the year just started, I thought it would be a great idea to make a list of things that will happen through out the year and that we are excited about! (well at least I’m excited about it) So here is my 10 things I’m looking forward to in 2014 list!
Glee’s 100th Episode
Ahhh Glee, part of me feels kinda bad for putting this on my list because I bitch and complain about you all the time, but I still love you. That’s mostly due to your amazing cast though. Which is why I’m excited about the 100th episode because all of the originals are coming back! (well except for Dijon Talton but was anybody expecting that?) And they will remix some of the old songs from previous seasons! However, since I’m excited about this episode, I’m fully expecting that something in the episode will ruin the fun for me. Therefore, I’m pretty sure one or many of the following will happen: the storyline will heavily focus on April (I do love me some Kristin Chenoweth though) or the Klaine wedding; Brittana will declare their undying love for each other and they will scissor (cuz that’s all lesbians do obviously!); Quinn will come back with a new personality and she and Santana will not talk about what happened at Mr. Shue‘s wedding. In any case, for every Glee episode, I always expect the worst but hope for the best.
At first, I was disappointed when I heard that this show will focus on Commissioner Gordon instead of on Bruce Wayne, but then I read Gotham Central and I saw that a story focusing on the GCPD has a lot of potential. I really just can’t wait to see how many Batman characters they can fit into this and how long it will take Gordon to become the respectable commissioner we all know and love. We should be getting more news about this TV show through out the year, as the pilot is suppose to start filming in March and the show itself should air on FOX in the Fall.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past
It’s no secret that I like DC comics more than Marvel, but as far as movies goes, Marvel has been pretty great. I’ve like every main movie in the X-men franchise so far so it’s a no-brainer that I’m excited about this movie. Plus, a member our A team was an extra for the movie when they were filming in Montreal! Even more reason to watch it!
Stephanie Brown Is Back!
When DC comics decided to “reboot” their universe, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to a bunch of characters that somehow didn’t fit in the new universe. One of those characters is Stephanie Brown aka The Spoiler/Robin/Batgirl. So far, we know that Stephanie’s first appearance will be in Batman: Eternal #3 and that she will be back as The Spoiler. Here’s to hoping that one of the next characters to come back is Renee Montoya (though with what happened with the Batwoman writers, I’m not getting my hopes up for that)
Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
Have you watched Hunger Games: Catching Fire already? If not, what are you still doing here? Go watch it now! If you did, how can you not be excited for the next part of the story? Sure I’ve read the books and the second one is my favorite, but I still can’t wait to see how they will put the story on the big screen. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until November to see it.
Orphan Black Season 2
Remember when I talked about a little show called Orphan Black? Well it turns out that the show is coming back on April 19th and I just can’t wait! Here’s to hoping we get even more clones (I’m sorry Tatiana Maslany. That means more work for you but you’re so great at it!) and that Sarah finds Kira!
Lois Lane One-Shot
There are no words to tell you how much I can’t wait to read this Lois Lane One-Shot. Lois is one of my favorite female characters of all time and I’m just so disappointed with how they have been using her in the new 52 comics so far (she’s amazing in the Smallville comics however!). So not only is she getting her own one-shot story, but if it does well, we might even get an ongoing Lois Lane series and that would be AWESOME! So go and buy it on February 26th!
Veronica Mars: The Movie
If you haven’t watched the Veronica Mars series yet, do yourself a favor and do it. Right now! The show originally ended in 2007 with a cliffhanger, which just made it even harder to let go of this amazing series (why oh why did The CW cancel it anyway?). However, fans of the series always hoped that the show will come back as a movie and now it’s finally here! Thanks to Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell brilliant idea to start a Kickstarter for the movie, we will now be able to see Veronica Mars again on the big screen on March 14th! I. CANNOT. WAIT. TO. SEE. IT!
I couldn’t possibly do a list about things I’m looking forward to in 2014 without including video games. Once again, if you’ve never played a game in the Persona series, you should definitely do it! This series just as a certain charm about it that keeps me going back for more. Now that Persona 5 has been officially announce, I just can’t wait to hear more about it (especially since all we’ve got so far is the trailer above). Of course it probably won’t come out in the US and Canada for 2014, but it will be out in Japan and that’s why it definitely deserve a place on my list.
Dragon Age Inquisition
Dragon Age is another RPG series that I love. While Dragon Age 2 might have received less than pleasant reviews, I personally still thought it was a great game. Yes, the environment was repetitive, but what do you expect when then entire game takes place in the same city? One thing is for sure though, Bioware took the Dragon Age 2 complains to heart and will offer a much bigger world to explore in Dragon Age 3. A 30 minutes gameplay video was released last month and it looks awesome! While the release date as not been officially announced yet, you can expect Dragon Age Inquisition to come out during Fall 2014 (unless something goes wrong during production and they need to push back the release date)
And there you have it. My list of things I’m excited about in 2014! Of course, I’m also excited about other things like spending more time with friends and family and traveling around the world! If I’m lucky, I’ll be able to go to the San Diego Comic Con this year!
What are you guys excited about in 2014?
