BITF – My Top 10 Reboot Episodes

Hey guys and welcome to another edition of BACK IN TIME FRIDAY!!!! My fellow Canadians, tell me: What was the one show that we all watched but didn’t understand the terms and names used in it at that time? That’s right, I’m talking about Reboot! Now my beloved American readers, I say Canadian cause to my knowledge this show didn’t air in the States. Mainly due to the fact that it was a show created and produced here in Canada. I feel sorry for those who didn’t get to chance to view this amazing show, cause for it’s time man was it ever cool. So my heart goes out to you.

Personally, this show played a huge part in my childhood. It was an amazing show and for it’s time, pretty well animated. Rumor has it (despite it saying it will come back, no dates have been giving) that the show will be back. Check out this article for more info on the “Revive of Reboot.” Now to pay tribute to this amazing show, I dug out my Reboot DVDs and decided to put together my Top 10 best Reboot episodes. This show is composed of 48 episodes (running from 1994 to 2001), so picking only 10 was really tough.

So without further do, WARNING INCOMING TOP TEN, WARNING INCOMING TOP TEN.

10. Bad Bob

Megabyte attacks the Principal Office to steal Mainframe’s Core energy. This causes a Game to be corrupted and land on the Principal Office. Bob and Enzo have to get the Core energy—being transported by “Megatruck”, a transformed Megabyte—back to the Office before it can leave with the Game.

9. Talent Night

Dot prepares a surprise talent show for Enzo’s birthday; Megabyte, upset about not being invited, prepares his own act. Meanwhile, Bob keeps Enzo busy while Dot prepares.

8. Enzo the smart.

In an attempt to make himself smarter, Enzo accidently makes everyone in Mainframe a bit slower/dumber. Now he must turn them back to normal before their naive ways get them nullified in a Track and Field game.

7. Nullzilla

When a Web creature infects Hexadecimal, thousands of nulls, including Megabyte’s pet Nibbles, they come together and form a giant null like creature. In order to defeat “Nullzilla”, Phong sends Bob, Dot, Enzo, Mike the T.V., Frisket, and AndrAIa in a giant mecha robot to battle the monster. Hmmmmm giant robot fighting a giant monster? I smell a parody!!

6. The episode with no name.

Matrix and AndrAIa arrive in a system with a portal leading to other systems, in hopes to find a way to get back home. We also learn that all the Guardians are infected with the super virus Daemon, a super virus that will play a big role later on in the series.

5. To Mend and Defend.

With Bob gone, Enzo must prove himself as a Guardian while Megabyte and Hexadecimal attack the Principal Office.

4. Showdown

Reunited with friends and family, Dot, AndrAIa, Mouse, Matrix and their group of rebels plan to invade the Principal Office, where Megabyte and his army await. Meanwhile Hexadecimal holds Bob against his will until he voluntarily does something benevolent for her.

#2 and #3 we’re tough ones, i get shivers whenever i watch either one of them. Click play and you’ll understand why.

3. Game Over

With the threat of Megabyte and Hexadecimal diminished, the Mainframers can concentrate on finding Bob. But things get a bit complicated when a game shows up, a rather eye losing game.

2. Web world wars.

A portal to the Web hovers over Mainframe, and its citizens must prepare for war. Megabyte and Hexadecimal join the battle, but they have a secret ulterior motive.

Man oh man these are some heavy and emotional episodes, let’s take a small break and enjoy #1 and all it’s glory.

1. Wizard, Warriors and a Word from ur sponsor.

Bob, Dot and Enzo are stuck in a role-playing game with the intrusive Mike the TV.

There you have it folks, my list of the best episodes. There are sooo many good ones out there but sadly I had to pick 10. If you like them as much as i do, I recommend you to buy all the DVDs!

I only ever saw one ep of Reboot and it was your #1 ep by chance. Good stuff. I really liked Transformers: Beast Wars (might have been called Beasties up in canada) – similar animation. One thing i’m really jealous of Canada for is Trailer Park Boys. That show – and those movies – are hilarious.

Yeah we had that show a well and it was just called Beast wars lol. If you can, you should definitely give the show a try, i know the CGI of the show seems a bit outdated but trust me, you’ll look pass it! It’s funny, creative and has one heck of a story!
