Once Upon a Time Season 3 Episode 2
Lost Girl – October 6, 2013
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
“You know what to do. Hide it where no one can’t find it…not even me…’” says Rumple while giving his dagger to his shadow. Even if I don’t really love Rumple’s storyline, it was really cool to see him with Belle…well, a vision of her. She’s the first one to see the good in him. To see that he’s not a coward…to really love him. Without her, he can become the bad guy again…the Dark One! I think that, maybe Rumple’s going to listen to her, but not for long… He has to decide who will live: Him or Henry?
With Belle’s advice, he decides to let go of the past, but…the past won’t go away…the doll his father gave him always comes back like a boomerang. Maybe because Rumple’s never really forgot his ugly past. Like Emma, he has to accept who he really was and who he is now…is he the same person? Only the future knows!
Where’s Waldo…hum, Henry?
I really loved this part. Even if it was all about finding Henry, this storyline was more about Emma. Who is she? She just deals with having her parents and a kid back. She had her ‘’normal’’ life and now she’s in Neverland dealing with magic and Peter Pan…it can be hard!
When Peter Pan gives her a map to find Henry, she has to figure out who she really is to magically unlock it. Like everybody, I thought: she’s the Savior. She has to believe in herself and it’s gonna work, but it’s not that simple. I love the way Regina never listens to anyone. She makes effort, but when she can deal with magic, it’s harder. This time, she fails and we finally see a little bit of bad Peter Pan. He’s a child himself, so he loves playing games I guess. I want to see EVIL PAN!
After a touching mother/daughter talk, Emma finally accepts who she really is: an orphan. She’s like them…I lost girl. I really loved this part of the episode. Emma is one of my favourite. She’s SO strong! Everybody, especially Regina, was always against her in season 1 and 2, but Emma never stopped fighting. Maybe it’s been hard for her to believe in magic, but she always believes in herself and that’s what matters.
Also, Hook is so cool and funny. I like the way he takes care of Emma. Oh and, I LOVED the Hook/Charming relationship in the episode haha! Maybe a new love triangle? HAHA “I’m winning you over. I can feel it” – Hook.
The True Savior
Finally! A flashback! I was SOOOO happy. I’m always excited about them. This time, it was about Snow and Charming. True love is true love. He believes in her and she believes in him! (Oh and, congrats to them, they are engaged in real life! Hope they can live happily ever after!)
My favourite part was when we saw the Evil Queen for the first time this season! (“OMG! It’s like Christmas!” – What’ up Lost Girl reference!) GOD! I’m in love with her music theme! It’s so powerful! (I told you that Regina was my favourite, well…she’s the second one, because the first one is the Evil Queen!) So, she did what she always does: use magic to terrify people and try to make a deal with Snow.
I really thought that Snow took out the real Excalibur, but no. When she fights the Queen, she’s able to attack Regina because of her own courage and beliefs, not because of a magical sword. Sometimes, Charming and Snow are too optimistic, but, you know, we love them like that and they win with that. Because like their daughter, they believe in themselves. Ok, Regina believes in herself to, but in another way! Haha
“Stop denying who you are Snow White. You may have been a princess, but you will never be a queen.’” – Regina to Snow
But you know…a queen, even an evil one, can be hurt!
That’s it. I hope you enjoyed this episode like me. I want more Neil and Mulan next during the next episode. And why not a little bit of Belle in Storybrook?? And Charming is hurt!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Because of you Regina…you cheated at Pan’s game and a lost boy has now maybe deadly injured David!
‘’It’s time we stop playing his game and he starts playing ours.’’ – Emma
