The Akira Project Live Action Movie

When I was 4 or 5 years old, my dad rent a VHS (Yes! The big black cassette) of a anime. This was the first anime that I watched in my life and I still remember it after all these years. The movie name was Akira. I LOVE that movie. It was created in 1986 by Katsuhiro Otomo based on the manga, there are 6 volumes in total.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, here a little summary:

A secret military project endangers Neo-Tokyo when it turns a biker gang member into a rampaging psionic psychopath that only two kids and a group of psionics can stop

This movie is one of the most influential example of anime and now a production name CineGround from Montreal want to do a life action movie of that. THANK YOU!! The teaser you have seen just above was created with a budget of… 0$! Imagine what they could make with a real budget! Here’s their campaign video.

You can still see the details of the Akira Project by clicking here! The campaign is finished but you can always help them by donating with paypal.

To all my Supernatural fans, here is the actor who’s going to play Shotaro Kaneda, the best friend and rival of Tetsuo, Osric Chau.

Here’s the latest poster of Akira. I’m so excited to see the BIKE!!

And here one picture behind the scene. IT’S GOING TO BE AWESOME!!!

You can go to their website or follow them on FacebookTwitterYoutubeVimeo and Tumblr.
